The most colorful stairs in the capital

The most colorful stairs in the capital - Warsaw residents love it!

There is no other place in the capital city like the Warsaw Breweries, and there are no other such eye-catching stairs in our city. They will probably soon become one of the most frequently photographed objects in the capital city by locals and tourists. All thanks to a talented artist, Dawid Ryski, who is responsible for this spectacular street art piece.

The Warsaw Breweries have grown out of post-industrial wastes in Wola which used to be avoided by the city's residents for many years. Today this area is once again serving the city, bringing a wide range of restaurants, entertainment activities and services to its life. Visitors who come here appreciate the project for its modern vibe and big-city style, but also for its respect for the city's history, which can be felt at every step thanks to carefully restored, historical elements of the local architecture.

The architecture of the Warsaw Breweries attracts like a magnet, and the icing on the cake will be the most photogenic and colourful stairs in Warsaw. Dawid Ryski, an artist living in Wola whose graphics and posters are increasingly popular in art galleries all over the world, is responsible for their design.

50 square meters of modern art in Warsaw

The stairs leading to the 170-year-old Storage Cellars have become an exceptional "canvas" for one of the most talented Polish illustrators - Dawid Ryski. This 1982 born artist has been designing concert posters, album covers and illustrating the press for years ('Wprost', 'Charaktery', 'Wysokie Obcasy' or 'Przekrój' among others). Dawid's works have been exhibited in London, Istanbul, Milan and even New York.

The project he has designed for the Warsaw Breweries creatively reflects the nature of this new place in the heart of Warsaw's Wola district. In an unconventional way, it illustrates the variety of possibilities and attractions that wait for all guests. The huge graphic design, which is as big as Warsaw murals (50 square metres) catches the eye and fills with positive energy, which is also everywhere in the Warsaw Breweries.

"This place is my biggest discovery this year! This is exactly the kind of projects that Warsaw needs if it wants to get rid of its complexes in comparison with other European capitals. This " Europeanness" and impressive diversity of the Warsaw Breweries I tried to reflect in my graphic work - says Dawid Ryski. - I also wanted to illustrate the inclusionary nature of this place, its openness and positive emotions with which the Warsaw Breweries fill their visitors from head to toe."

On the third of September, the stairs were given into the hands (and feet) of Warsaw's residents. Ryski's graphics impress with their grandeur and make the city even more beautiful. There is no denying that it is the most colorful place in the entire Warsaw Breweries, which thanks to it becomes even more unique and eye-catching. The 17-meter stairs will lead visitors from the Haberbusch and Schiele woonerf to the square by the Storage Cellars. Dawid Ryski has caught in his work everything that is distinctive about this place, telling at the same time how you can spend a morning, an afternoon or an evening with your loved ones here.
