We support the campaign to rebuild dog shelters after the flood
"Water receded, dogs remained" is the theme of the aid campaign for homeless dogs from the Lower Silesia and Opole provinces, who lost their shelters due to the flood. At Browary Warszawskie, you can see an installation reflecting a fragment of the post-flood wall with a marked water line, aimed at showcasing the tragedy of the animals that also became victims of the great water.
Over 1,300,000 PLN – this is the amount of money needed for homeless dogs to return to shelters: the Foundation Pod Psią Gwiazdą from Kłodzko, the Shelter for Homeless Animals in Konradowa, and the AZYL Shelter in Dzierżoniów – places that suffered the most during the recent flood.
During the peak of the flood, help for the affected animals was significant; however, it has declined over time. The damage and needs are still enormous, and the shelters are facing their toughest period – winter. This is influenced not only by harsh weather conditions for the animals but also by the number of new residents that arrive at the facilities during this time.
Therefore, we encourage everyone willing to help to participate in the online fundraiser organized by the Foundation Psia Brać. https://pomagam.pl/hygphc
Every little bit helps, and together we can do more!
