"Sakana" means "fish" in Japanese, although in Old Japanese this word corresponded to our Polish "appetizer". And indeed, these appetizers, snacks and minor dishes shared with feasters in bars called 'izakaya' are the flagship of Sakana Sushi Bar, which is now open in Warsawa Breweries.
Sakana Sushi is a well-known brand on the Warsaw food service market. The chain's new location at 56 Grzybowska Street in Warsaw Breweries, with its entrance facing Haberbusch and Schiele Street, is right next to the Warzelnia Market Square. There are many surprising items on their menu, even for those who know Sakana's menu by heart. Indeed - their outstanding sushi will be available here as part of their traditional offering, but the menu will also include "Japanese tapas" and many hot dishes with some oriental twist.
Sakana Sushi Warsaw Breweries will be able to offer a whole cross-section of Japanese cuisine at last. Izakaya is a specific institution that combines attributes of a bistro and a pub. In Japan, a bunch of people drop in here to eat, drink and have a good time. Izakaya restaurants can be folksy and casual, but they can also be exclusive and refined pub-restaurants with a sophisticated menu and clientele. Sakana Sushi Warsaw Breweries is closer to the latter category. The restaurant is characterised by warm interiors decorated in a minimalist style with seats at its bar. Sakana will serve both well-known and unknown Japanese spirits in Poland. Tables available by reservation await guests both inside and in a large summer garden, which will provide a view of the main square of Warsaw Breweries.
The most important thing is, of course, the menu. The kitchen is under the care of Bartosz Leszczyński, who prepared many original creations together with his team. Sushi of the highest quality accompanied by numerous additions is of course must have. Foodies open to non-obvious sensations will enjoy the Izakaya section, i.e. snacks to be shared in the form of so-called "sharing plates", available exclusively in Sakana Sushi Warsaw Breweries. The 'plates' will include tuna akami ceviche with zuke, new style sashimi, a selection of oriental tartars or BAO with pulled beef.
Japanese cuisine is not only famous for its taste, but is also considered one of the healthiest in the world. Scientists believe that it is largely responsible for the longevity of the Japanese (men there live on average as long as 81 years and women more than 88 years). So if you feel like eating both well and healthily, and at the same time getting to know Japanese traditions and tasting specialities from the land of the Cherry Blossom, you should definitely visit Sakana Sushi Warsaw Breweries.

The restaurant's menu is wide and everyone will find something to their liking; lovers of Asian broths, of which there is no shortage in Warsaw, will be particularly attracted by oriental soups, and there will also be something classic for Japanese bars, i.e. chicken yakitori.
Interestingly, Sakana Sushi Warsaw Breweries also tempts with its lunch offer. On weekdays, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., you can indulge yourself in exotic "fast casual" three-course meals.
