That's right! When it comes to an attribute of Fat Thursday, we're all about diversity here at Breweries! Which means? That there will be a classic of its kind - little sugar-coated beasts with devilishly good fillings - but there will also be surprises, such as ice-cream doughnuts and burgers! Yes, yes, dear friends. The most diverse Fat Thursday ever will be waiting for you at Warsaw Breweries, and you can read the details of exactly what's doughty in their filled doughnuts and what's jammy in their jam below.
FILLED DOUGHNUTS BY BAKERY BROWARY, VICE-CHAMPION OF WARSAW 2022
Last year Bakery Browary took 2nd place in Wyborcza's poll for the best filled doughnut in Warsaw. Whether they'll be champions this year - we'll find out after Fat Thursday. If you want to check beforehand if they deserve this year's title, Bakery has two flavours for you on 16 February - with rose and with vanilla. Their dough undergoes several hours of fermentation and is boosted with rum and orange zest, which incidentally may contribute to Bakery's high place in the filled doughnut rankings.

WELL-PROVEN FILLED DOUGHNUTS IN A WHOLE RANGE OF FLAVOURS
In turn, the Vita Café team has been making their filled doughnuts day in and day out for so long that they seem to know all about the tricks of their trade. And because "practice makes perfect", their filled doughnuts are simply as sweet as honey or raspberries and it would not be too much to say that the filled doughnuts made by Vita Café are famous all over Warsaw.
The flavours to choose from on Fat Thursday are expected to be a dozen, but.... they've decided they're going to keep them a secret for as long as possible, so officially we are the ones who don't know anything, and we won't tell, but we do know it's worth it.

3 STRONG PROPOSALS PREPARED BY BROWAR
Someone might be surprised to learn that Browar Warszawski prepares their Fat Thursday filled doughnuts on their own and entirely crafted by the hands of their own confectioner. The fact that the name "Browar" may not indicate this, but believe us, the confectioner here knows how to make sweets, so their filled doughnuts may turn out to be the "black Thursday horse". What flavours? Three - with dulce de leche, raspberries and pistachios. And if you do find yourself getting too sweet, rinse your mouth with their craft beers. After all, Brower is a brewery.

BREAK THE ICE (CREAM) OF THE FILLED DOUGHNUT TRADITION
This news may freeze traditionalists and warm up ice cream fans. Well... on Fat Thursday, the Good Lood ice cream spot located in Warsaw Breweries will offer... LOODY PĄCZKOWE (doughnut ice cream) flavoured with rose! There will be two more flavours in honour of the carnival finale, namely FAWORKOWE and CHROOSTOWE - both in honour of the dispute over whether dry crispy cakes in a form of a bow should be called "faworki" or "chruściki" and what the heck it's called after all. So if anyone feels like taking a break from the consumption of traditional filled doughnuts, this is where they can best succeed.
FAT THURSDAY DOES NOT LIVE BY FILLED DOUGHNUTS ALONE
Staying in the 'Fat Thursday differently' category, the excellent restaurant Gastronomja promises that at their place.... there will be no filled doughnuts. Instead, they are threatening to offer their guests a much larger selection of desserts on 16 February than ever before, and these could become a tempting alternative to traditional deep-fat sugar-coated curves.

FILLED DOUGHNUTS IN SPANISH, MEANS "CHURROS"
In Spain, as well, this carnival is coming to an end and there, for a change, they don't eat filled doughnuts on Fat Thursday because they .... don't know them. The Spanish, however, have their own filled doughnut.... churros, which you can taste at Sobremesa Tapas Bar on Thursday, free of charge when you order tapas. In a way, their dough is similar to ours, but in the form of deep-fried sticks that are dipped in caramel and chocolate sauces. Each order on this day comes with churros as a gift.

OR WHY NOT DOUGHNUTS FILLED WITH MEAT?
...or rather the other way around - a burger in a filled doughnut. Seriously. Such a variation of Fat Thursday delights is what Boston Burger at Food Hall Browary have for you. This gastrohall, commonly known as "FHB", has two more doughnut-like surprises lined up. Silk & Spicy invites everyone to enjoy their one and only Asian doughnuts, and peeking into Octo Pasta & Pizza through the keyhole, we have noticed that they will have profiteroles, a French version of mini-chapeau-bas doughnuts, on offer on Fat Thursday.
