Walk through history on the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
On the occasion of the anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising and as part of the nationwide Daffodil Action organized by the POLIN Museum, Warsaw Breweries, together with city guide Łukasz Ostoja-Kasprzycki (@PoWarszawsku), invites you to a special historical walk.
- Saturday, April 19, at 12:00 PM
- Stairs at Warsaw Breweries, Haberbusch i Schiele St. 2 , Warsaw
- Free participation, registration required via the form: https://forms.gle/R5Uv33MJmMNwuJWk7
- Limited number of places
During the walk, the guide will talk about: the origin of the daffodil symbol and its meaning, the role of Warsaw Breweries during the Uprising in the Ghetto, the materials and resources stored here by the insurgents, and which locations in Wola were crucial at that time.
This is a moving and educational journey through history, focusing on local memory and the role of the Wola district in the dramatic events of 1943.
The walk commemorating the anniversary of the Ghetto Uprising is the second of six educational walks planned by Warsaw Breweries for 2025. We want our space to be not only a modern urban center but also a place that nurtures historical memory and supports intergenerational education.
Warsaw Breweries, located between Grzybowska and Krochmalna streets, has long remained in the shadows as a post-industrial, forgotten area. Today, thanks to the revitalization carried out by Echo Investment, this place has gained new life, becoming the pulsating heart of Wola and an important landmark on the map of Warsaw.
We invite you to join us in discovering history—both the well-known and the hidden within the walls of Warsaw Breweries.
